You know, this exact same thing happened to me in Oakland once.
This is the first time I’ve noticed that the creature Gary stabbed with the needle looks like it’s wearing a mask or helmet. I thought it was some sort of mouse before, but now it could be a ping-pong ball in disguise. Weird.
What would be an angel to a ping-pong ball? Certainly not the paddle, right?
