Inktober 2018 Day 7 “Exhausted”
I’m certainly not exhausted these days, but I do remember how it feels. Also, the mechanical pencil I’ve had for 20 years+ must have been exhausted today, as it took me a bit of fiddling with it to get it throwing lines again. (It was just jammed up) That thing has drawn nearly every single original line I’ve drawn all these years. It’s a true MVP for me.
Speaking of Most Valuable Players, the fellah responsible for ALL of this web content (aside from Instagram. I did that to myself..), Captain Temerity, it’s his Birthday today. So, Happy Birthday, Cap! I maybe should have considered throwing some of HIS characters in today’s post as a “tribute” or whatever, but I sadly didn’t think of it until after the Bear from SHaLK showed up instead. (these characters do what they want… although who knows when SHaLK will be drawn from it’s dark grave? It’s actually not on me this time! So, Yay!)
Also, also, today’s post certainly has a Sergio Aragones “vibe” to it. Of course, the man is a HUGE influence on my stuff. Just wanted to point that out, just in case anyone wanted to suggest I wasn’t giving credit where credit is due. If nothing else, I try to make certain to always pay my respects to the people who have helped make me who I am today… but you don’t really need me to start on that impossibly long list today… One of these times. If anyone is interested. If I post more than this one month… once a year… Hmm…
