They’re all a-dancin’ because I was listening to music when I was drawing. I will spare you what music, as I’ve come to the decision that no two people on Earth ever have the exact same music tastes. Sure, you may find plenty of people who love a band that you do or whatever, but your tastes will pretty much NEVER be 100% across the board. There’s always that one band, or that one album that you just LOVE, and everyone around you will hate. It’s super rare to meet someone that can suggest music for you. You will disappoint them by hating something they really really think you will just adore. Maybe this is all just me? I only “trust” like two people to suggest stuff for me, and even then it’s hit or miss. All of this is my OPINION, of course. I’m open to the idea that I’m completely wrong, and I’m just an old curmudgeon…

The girl’s pose is inspired by a famous painting by Cesare da Sesto which was inspired by a pagan image that was lost in the 17th century, The lost Leda. The outfit on my version here is taken from a seven page comic book story called The Asteroid Witch, which saw print in 1950 in the first issue of Amazing Adventures, drawn by the equally amazing Murphy Anderson. (Never let it be said that I don’t credit my sources when I’m “stealing” something. Hahaa.) I can’t get enough of these Pre-Comic Book Code science fiction comics. I’m not as crazy about the Horror stuff, but those are pretty wild too. There is a company that releases wonderful hardcover collections of all this stuff called PS Artbooks. They’re on the pricey side, but if you watch eBay like a madman, you can usually find good deals. (a few of the titles have been released in paperback as well, but I’m a complete sucker for hardcover comic book collections, and hardcover books in general…)

Okay. That’s enough random madness from my head for today. If you actually read any of this, Thank You? and I’m sorry? Hahaa.
