Just here to test out my new mechanical keyboard. I went with one that is rather inexpensive, which, great, don’t blow a ton of cash on something you’re not even sure you’ll like yet. But I don’t know if I’m getting out of it what I expected to. Which, really, nothing was expected. It’s better feeling that typing on the super-thin Logitech I was using, and almost anything is preferable to the HP one that I’d brought home from work last year. I’m hitting a lot of mistakes right now, and I definitely need a wrist rest up front. The typing sounds are okay. The clicking is a bit overwhelming to start, but its the little tinny spring noises on certain parts, on a bare wooded desk, that are most jarring at the moment. I’ve had my eye on one of those full desk “mouse” pads, but I’m waiting on Levi to design art for it. It’s been a want more than a need (but then, so was the keyboard), but now maybe I do need it. Or I can just get over myself and accept that I don’t spend enough time up here doing any writing to require all these special prizes. I got my lap desk too though, and that may actually make a bigger difference since I can use it downstairs in the chair or in bed. Both of those sound appealing. Bed more than anything. I think I need a nap already and it’s not even noon yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dreamed about hanging out with Anne at Chris and Cisco’s (a dream substitution for their actual house) and Anne had been working on a mystery story that she was doing in serials. Because that’s what my dream fulfillment it… pushing what I want to be writing onto my best friends. Although seeing my friends does absolutely qualify as wish fulfillment. I miss my people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m upstairs. I should really do some work. The whole recliner is up here, but in two parts. We’re so close to being able to make this room really useful and comfortable. So, so close…<\/p>\n\n\n\n
