Too many easy jokes with “disarmed” or “let’s give him a hand.” And those are the clean ones.
I’ve been spending a lot of time over on InkOutbreak discovering a ton of other webcomics. There’s some incredible stuff out there! I think this is really what is missing from print comics… On the web, there’s something for everybody. And it can be found pretty easily, and you can read it from page one on up.
Not to take anything away from companies like Image and Dark Horse, Boom and Red 5, Ape and IDW… There’s a great supply of fantastic comics out there. But I kinda’ think that’s due to what’s happening online. The web is the great equalizer for comics; you can find your voice, and then find your audience, online, and then, if you want, move to print.
I’m not saying one is better or worse than the other. But I do think, on the web, you can be a little more… fearless. And that’s pretty cool.
Go give the page a look. I bet you’ll find at least five other comics you’ll get hooked on without even trying too hard.
