I’m trying to go cold-turkey on a stupid, stupid Facebook Game. It”s been about a week, and I’m staying strong. But all my friends keep posting, taunting me, trying to pull me back into it.
This, itself, was a relapse, as I was hooked on a Mafia game, and a slew of others a while back. Then, one day, I gave it all up. It was a time suck, and I recognized it as such, but I just COULDN’T. STOP. PLAYING.
The truth of it is, Facebook itself is a time suck. So’s Google+, of course. But then the other sites I go to, I hit them up several times a day, over and over. And it’s like, OH MY GOD! THE INTERNET IS A GIANT TIME SUCK!!
Which sort’ve excuses me from why I feel like I need to give up the game. Because it’s not like a person should give up the internet, right?
Right?
