One of the things Levi and I talked about when we decided how to bring Baujahr back (without “resurrecting” him, which Levi was hoping to avoid) was how his drawing Jeff had evolved over time. They looked just different enough to be distinct from one another, something you wouldn’t notice reading the strips consecutively, but you would if they were suddenly going to be side-by-side with each other.
Yeah. We’re probably thinking about these things too hard.
Levi also said something about wanting to change Jeff’s clothes at some point, and I realized, with all that had happened in the comic so far, I didn’t think Jeff had bathed in some time. Hence, he probably smelled a bit… ripe. Baujahr probably wouldn’t notice (because he’s a smoker), but Jeff to Jeff… You’re never that polite to yourself about such things.
At least I wouldn’t be. But then, I’m a bit of a jerk. Or so I’m told, anyways.
