Let me tell you about the Strobe that almost wasn’t.

I’ve told you guys before (maybe on the Baujahr site, if not here) that the strips I’m posting each week were previously published in Flint Comix.  In fact, I’ve had all the strips up through last week sitting on my hard drive, ready to go, since January.

But last week’s was the last one.  As far as I knew, we got to the “not-a-dolphin,” and that was the end of it.

A couple days ago, I prodded Levi (much as I do) in one last, sad attempt to say, “Hey, bud…  We’re on the last Strobe.  Do I start posting Baujahr a third day a week, or just give up Wednesdays or what?”

And then Levi, ever the tease, said, “Oh…  I’ve got a couple more.  I can send those to you.”  I imagined him smiling maniacally as he emailed me this news, because I think everything Levi does, he smiles maniacally while doing it.

Withdrawing money from the bank?  Smiles maniacally.

Filling up the tank?  Smiles maniacally.

Eating a Fishwich and McShamrock shake?  Smiles maniacally (with green teeth).

So today’s Strobe is about as new to me as it is to you.  And, as far as I know, there’s at least two more (one I have, one that has been promised).  The fact that its copyright date shows 2011 is not lost on me, mind you.  Meaning, Levi has been sitting on this strip for quite a while, and then left me to sit and stress about it.

Smiling.  Maniacally.

Jerk.
